The Iversens lit a fire on the headland after reindeer cut off the path to their boat. From across the inlet, the flame looked too steady to be an accident.
I reached them by the long rocky shore, carried their supplies, and waited for the animals to move inland. We put the fire out carefully. A rescue should not start another emergency.
