The sound of tin.
From the journal of the Wolf of the North · a work of fiction
A storm tore loose the roof of the Pedersens' shed. Every slap of tin sent nearby reindeer rushing at the house, where the family had gathered behind thin glass.
I climbed onto the shed and pinned the sheet beneath a heavy beam. Once the noise stopped, the animals calmed. The family came out to help secure the roof. I have never trusted loose metal since.
